About Caffè Reggio

Caffè Reggio opened in 1927 and has barely changed since. The 1902 espresso machine still stands against the back wall like a bronze monument. Jack Kerouac wrote here. Bob Dylan played nearby. The marble tables, Renaissance paintings, and chandelier light make every visit feel like the city paused just for you.

What to Order

Cappuccino

America's original, served since 1927. Order it with nothing added.

You might also enjoy

Zabaglione

Whipped egg yolk cream with fresh berries. Theatrical and worth it.

Affogato

Vanilla gelato drowned in a hot shot of espresso. End here.

Our Read for This Café

Stoner by John Williams book cover

Stoner

John Williams

For when you need to believe a quiet life can be profound.

William Stoner enrolls at the University of Missouri intending to return to his father's farm. He doesn't. A novel about a quiet, largely unremarkable life — and why it matters completely.
